The part nobody tells you
The clock didn't start when you found out.
It started before that.
Every claim is governed by a statute of limitations. In many states it runs from the moment you reasonably should have connected your injury to the product — not from the day you actually did. Some windows are as short as one year.
When it closes, it closes for good. No appeal, no exception, no matter how strong the case was. A checked date costs you nothing. An expired one costs you everything.

MDL 3140 — Depo-Provera is set for trial in December 2026. Bellwether verdicts are what move settlement values across an entire docket. Claimants already in the case when that happens are the ones positioned for it.
Counting down to the scheduled trial date in the Northern District of Florida. Court schedules can move; this is not a deadline to file, and your own deadline is almost certainly different.

Video Game & Platform Harm
Compulsive use in minors · In-game purchase harm
An emerging front. Early filings are being evaluated for consolidation — early claimants shape the litigation.

Public record
This money has already been committed.
These are not projections or marketing numbers. They are filed, court-supervised settlement agreements — the kind that get paid out to the people who filed, and to nobody else.
Up to $12.5 billion payable over 13 years ($10.3B present value), resolving claims by roughly 4,000 public water suppliers.
Resolved roughly 100,000 claims, with $1.25B reserved for future filings. Bayer's cumulative Roundup payouts now exceed $11 billion.
A further global settlement proposal covering tens of thousands of remaining claims, subject to court process.
Here is the part that matters. Settlement funds are divided among people who filed a claim. Everyone who was harmed and never filed gets nothing — not a reduced share, not a late payment. Nothing. Eligibility is not the same as participation, and only one of them pays.
Past settlements and verdicts are matters of public record and are shown for context only. They do not predict, promise, or guarantee any result in your case. Individual payouts vary enormously and many claims recover nothing.

An attorney reviews it free
Usually 1 business dayIf it looks like a match, an independent licensed attorney contacts you to evaluate it. No fee unless you recover. No obligation to hire anyone.
The cost of waiting
Four things happen while you think about it.
The deadline expires
A statute of limitations is absolute. Once it runs, the strongest case in the docket is worth exactly zero.
The settlement gets structured without you
Global settlements are negotiated around the claimants already in. Late arrivals negotiate against a fund that is already allocated.
Evidence quietly disappears
Pharmacy records get purged. Employers close. Witnesses move. Product lots stop being traceable. Proof is easiest to gather today and harder every month after.
You never find out you qualified
This is the most common outcome by an enormous margin. Not a denied claim — an unfiled one.
Checking takes about a minute and costs nothing. Not checking is a decision too — it is just a slower one, and it is the only one that can't be undone.

Nationwide coverage
Independent attorneys licensed in all 50 states.
Lawsuit is not a law firm and does not represent you. What it does is route your situation to an independent, licensed attorney who handles that specific docket in your jurisdiction — instead of leaving you to cold-call firms and hope one of them takes the call.
Straight answers
The questions that stop people.
Every one of these has cost somebody a claim. None of them should.
How much does this cost me?
Nothing to find out. The case review is free and carries no obligation. The attorneys in the network work on contingency, which means they are paid a percentage of a recovery — if there is no recovery, you owe no attorney's fee. Fee percentages and any case-cost terms are disclosed to you in writing before you sign anything.
What is the actual deadline?
Every claim is governed by a statute of limitations, and it varies by state, by injury, and by when you reasonably should have connected the injury to the product. Some are as short as one year. In many product cases the clock starts at diagnosis — not at exposure — which is why people who were harmed decades ago can still be eligible, and why people who were diagnosed recently can run out of time faster than they expect. The only way to know your date is to have someone check it.
I don't have my records anymore. Am I out?
Usually not. Pharmacy fill histories, insurance claim records, employment and military records, and medical charts can typically be recovered on your behalf. Missing paperwork is one of the most common reasons people never file — and one of the easiest to solve.
Will I have to go to court?
The large majority of claims in these dockets resolve without the claimant ever testifying at trial. MDLs are built to resolve claims in groups. A small number of cases are selected as bellwether trials to set the tone for negotiations; most claimants are never among them.
Is Lawsuit.. a law firm?
No. Lawsuit.. is a legal information and case-matching service. We are not a law firm, we do not provide legal advice, and using this site does not create an attorney-client relationship. If your situation looks like it may qualify, we connect you with an independent licensed attorney who evaluates it and decides whether to represent you.
What happens after I submit?
Your information is reviewed against the eligibility criteria for the active dockets. If it looks like a potential match, an attorney in the network contacts you — typically within one business day — to go through the facts. You are never obligated to retain anyone, and you can stop at any point.
